About ~

SALVADOR ESPEJO was a Filipino writer who wrote mainly in his native language Ilocano. Many of his short stories were published in Bannawag Magazine. He was also the publisher of a local newspaper, Tawid News Magazine, which he founded in 2001 and managed until his death in 2018.

This website aims to commemorate not just Salvador’s memory, but also his literary works, and to give a space for fans of Ilocano literature to continue reading and learning from them.

Salvador’s literary works primarily consist of several short stories, two novelettes and a drama. Many of them were published in Bannawag Magazine and others in Tawid News Magazine (TNM).

He also wrote columns and essays for Tawid News Magazine which covered a range of political and cultural topics, as well as personal views and experiences filtered through his unmistakably Ilocano perspective.

We have gathered a list of his works and linked to online versions when they are accessible.
